Constanze Vogts Werk entfaltet sich zwischen Zeichnung, Objekt und Installation. Im Zentrum steht die Transformation der Linie – von der flachen, rationalen Setzung auf dem Papier zur körperhaften, organischen Form im Raum. Ihre Praxis gleicht einer fortlaufenden linearen Schreibbewegung: Sie zeichnet, spannt, näht und faltet, um das starre Prinzip der Geradlinigkeit in Bewegung zu versetzen. Dabei arbeitet sie mit fragilen Materialien wie Papier, Garn, Stoff und Holz, die sie in poetische, vielschichtige Strukturen überführt.

Aus gleich langen, präzise gezogenen Linien entstehen durch Wiederholung und Überlagerung organisch wirkende Gebilde, die an Knoten, Pflanzen oder Möbiusbänder erinnern. In diesen Verdichtungen wird Zeit erfahrbar – nicht als lineare Abfolge, sondern als zirkuläre Bewegung, als Prozess permanenter Transformation.

Die Linie setzt sich in Vogts Objekten räumlich fort: Baumwollfäden spannen sich über Holz- und Drahtreifen zu schwebenden Gebilden, die sich im Licht verändern und flirrende Moiré-Effekte erzeugen. Ihre Werke bilden ein rhizomatisches Geflecht aus Verbindungen und Übergängen, in dem sich jede Form aus einer vorhergehenden entwickelt und zugleich neue Richtungen eröffnet.

So verhandelt Vogt die Beziehung zwischen Kultur und Natur, Rationalität und Emotionalität, Fragilität und Präsenz. Ihre Arbeiten sind Vorschläge für eine nichtlineare Wahrnehmung von Zeit und Raum – fragile Systeme, in denen Ordnung, Wachstum und Bewegung untrennbar ineinandergreifen.

Constanze Vogt’s work unfolds between drawing, object, and installation. At its core lies the transformation of the line – from a flat, rational mark on paper into a corporeal, organic form in space. Her practice resembles a continuous, linear act of writing: she draws, stretches, sews, and folds to set the rigid principle of linearity in motion. Working with fragile materials such as paper, thread, fabric, and wood, she translates them into poetic, multilayered structures.

From equal-length, precisely drawn lines emerge organic formations that evoke knots, plants, or Möbius strips. Within these condensations, time becomes tangible – not as a linear sequence but as a circular movement, a process of perpetual transformation.

The line extends spatially in Vogt’s objects: cotton threads are stretched across wooden hoops to form hovering constructions that shift with the light, producing shimmering moiré effects. Her works constitute a rhizomatic network of connections and transitions, in which each form evolves from a preceding one while simultaneously opening new directions.

In this way, Vogt negotiates the relationship between culture and nature, rationality and emotion, fragility and presence. Her works propose a nonlinear perception of time and space – fragile systems in which order, growth, and movement are inextricably intertwined.
